Software Engineer – Business Systems

About the role

Join Sangoma as a Software Engineer focused on Business Systems. You will design, build, and maintain backend services that connect internal platforms with third‑party systems, ensuring reliable data flow across billing, provisioning, CRM, and ERP environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services supporting core business operations.
• Build and manage API integrations with internal platforms and external services such as Salesforce and NetSuite.
• Optimize workflows across CRM and ERP systems, ensuring accurate and efficient data movement.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams in Agile Scrum ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement long‑term fixes.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable code and produce thorough technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development background using PHP (Laravel preferred), Golang, Java, or Perl.
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and SQL query optimization.
• Hands‑on experience deploying applications in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
