Software Engineer (Python/C#)

About the role

3AI develops next-generation artificial intelligence investment solutions for the financial services industry, founded by an award-winning team of industry veterans whose self-learning software has guided the trading of billions of dollars of assets. It is looking for a mid-to-senior level software engineer who reports directly to the CTO and helps shape the foundations of its products and business.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the architecture, design and development of 3AI's systems: core data processing, machine learning and client-facing sites.
• Deliver high-quality software, working with the team to refine requirements where necessary.
• Promote quality, maintainability, pragmatism and productivity within the team.
• Share novel ideas, technologies and approaches in products and processes.
• Mentor junior team members and keep up with continuous learning and self-development.
• Occasionally support non-development activities such as recruitment or infrastructure.

Required profile

• Strong Python experience, especially on numeric and scientific stacks including numpy and pandas.
• Engineering excellence: architecture, design, unit testing, SOLID principles and CI/CD.
• Experience developing for the cloud.
• Numeracy: experience with numeric datasets, basic statistics and mathematics.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills; the stack is predominantly Python and C#.

• Web front-end development (ideally with React)
• C#/.Net

• Financial markets and trading (futures and equities)
• Data engineering pipelines (AirFlow/Prefect), ETL, cloud data storage and RDBMS
• Machine learning (scikit-learn, Keras/TensorFlow, PyTorch) and GPU programming
• Next-gen UI, conversational UI and NLP, data visualisation
