Sourcing Manager

About the role

The Manager, Sourcing will lead strategic sourcing initiatives for DePuy Synthes, a Johnson & Johnson business unit, ensuring high‑quality materials and services are obtained at optimal value while managing supply risk. This role partners with cross‑functional teams to shape procurement strategy, support business continuity, and drive performance across the supply base.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and support strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and service levels across assigned categories.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure value and compliance.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead supplier evaluations, including quality, risk, and financial assessments.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects focused on cost reduction and efficiency gains.
• Support sourcing strategy development using market intelligence, demand planning, and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of procurement and supplier data in enterprise systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
• 6–8 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Strong analytical abilities and a results‑oriented mindset.
