Sr. Business Development Specialist (Downstream) – Relocate to Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Development Specialist to join the Downstream Origination Department. The role is based in Saudi Arabia and involves identifying, evaluating and executing profitable downstream investment opportunities across refining, petrochemicals, trading, retail, logistics and lubricants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end business development process from initial screening to deal closure, prioritising proposals against investment criteria.
• Lead negotiations and prepare commercial documents such as MoUs, LOIs and shareholder agreements.
• Coordinate due‑diligence, valuation and economic modelling activities with internal experts.
• Develop resource and funding plans to transform concepts into closed transactions.
• Ensure compliance with internal stage‑gate approvals and manage contract payments within delegated limits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business & Management or Engineering; MBA preferred.
• Proven experience in downstream oil‑and‑gas business development, M&A or joint‑venture transactions.
