Staff Software Engineer (Node.js, AWS) - Remote

About the role

BairesDev, a technology consultancy with more than 15 years of experience and a team of 4,000+ remote engineers, is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for a Node.js and AWS role. You will take a product capability from idea to production, bringing technical leadership to a Node.js and TypeScript platform on AWS while staying close to the code.

Key responsibilities

• Own a product capability from design through delivery and operation, turning product goals into working software.
• Design and evolve event-driven services on AWS.
• Work with end users to shape requirements.
• Use AI-assisted development across the delivery cycle.
• Keep services healthy in production.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience building backend systems with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Background designing event-driven microservices architectures in production.
• Track record of taking software to production and owning its operation.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and working directly with end users.
• Advanced level of English.
