About the role
The Steward will ensure the cleanliness, maintenance and sanitation of all tableware, glassware, silverware and kitchen equipment at Four Seasons Cartagena. This position supports the culinary team by providing a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation and service.
Key responsibilities
- Wash and disinfect dishes, glassware and silverware using the dishwasher; load, unload and store items correctly.
- Clean and disinfect ovens, steam boilers, mixers, drains, sinks, floors and walls.
- Dust, sweep, mop, polish and wash kitchen and pastry production areas and corridors.
- Sanitize all pots, pans and cooking utensils with appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Operate, clean and safely use the silver‑polishing machine; sort, transport and store silverware according to schedule, and set aside damaged pieces for repair.
- Handle and store cleaning chemicals, soak solutions and protective gear safely.
Required profile
- High school diploma (preferred).
- Minimum 6 months experience in a steward or similar role.
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen cleaning equipment safely.
Required skills
- Dishwasher operation.
- Silver‑polishing machine operation.
- Kitchen equipment cleaning.
- Use of commercial cleaning chemicals.
- Safe handling of hazardous substances.
- Basic sanitation and hygiene procedures.
