Structural Engineer – Bogotá

About the role

CloudKitchens is looking for a Structural Engineer to support the design, evaluation, and execution of facility development projects in Bogotá. The role focuses on adaptive‑reuse and renovation of existing buildings, ensuring structural safety while minimizing cost and schedule impacts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural due‑diligence assessments on existing buildings, evaluating gravity and lateral load systems, foundations, and structural deficiencies.
• Identify compromised elements such as corrosion, material degradation, settlement, and overstressed members.
• Develop structural strategies and strengthening requirements for new facility integration, including gravity, lateral, and foundation systems.
• Analyze building load paths and critical structural elements influencing feasibility and cost.
• Coordinate structural requirements with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, civil, geotechnical, and construction teams.
• Provide technical guidance to external consultants and Engineers of Record during design development and construction documentation.
• Support permitting efforts and liaise with building departments and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Participate in value‑engineering exercises to reduce construction costs and accelerate schedules.
