Tax Manager – LATAM Tax Compliance Lead

About the role

MiQ is seeking a Tax Manager to lead its Latin America tax compliance agenda. The role oversees corporate income tax, VAT/indirect tax, transfer‑pricing and withholding tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with local finance teams, external advisors and global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own and project‑manage the LATAM tax compliance calendar, covering corporate income tax, VAT, transfer‑pricing and withholding tax deliverables.
• Coordinate third‑party advisors and local finance teams to ensure accurate and timely filing of returns, declarations, payments and supporting documentation.
• Review and challenge advisor‑prepared tax returns, calculations and workpapers to align with MiQ’s business model and group policy.
• Assess withholding tax impacts of cross‑border payments, ensuring treaty and documentation requirements are met.
• Monitor transfer‑pricing compliance deadlines, coordinate local files and supporting disclosures.
• Support tax reporting, audit responses, authority queries, risk tracking and remediation actions.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury and business units on new transactions, restructurings and contracts with tax implications.
• Strengthen regional governance through trackers, checklists, dashboards and standardized processes.

Required profile

• 6+ years of tax experience in‑house or at a Big Four, with strong exposure to LATAM corporate and withholding tax matters.
• Practical understanding of VAT/indirect tax and transfer‑pricing coordination across several LATAM jurisdictions.
• Professional qualification as an accountant, tax lawyer or equivalent finance professional preferred.
• Proven project‑management and stakeholder‑communication abilities.
• Fluent Spanish.
