Technical Consultant – Threat Detection Response & Intelligence

About the role

IBM Consulting is looking for a Technical Consultant specialized in Threat Detection Response (TDR) to help clients protect their digital infrastructure. You will work with advanced cybersecurity tools to monitor, investigate and respond to security incidents across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced analysis of security events and logs from diverse data sources.
• Correlate events, conduct deep log reviews, and validate true positives versus false positives.
• Execute incident triage, classification and prioritization based on risk and impact.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis to determine how incidents originated and evolved.
• Analyze IOCs, threat vectors and apply threat‑intelligence feeds to enhance detection.
• Collaborate with teams to tune and optimize SIEM/XDR platforms.

Required profile

• Strong experience in advanced log and event analysis and incident validation.
• Hands‑on expertise with incident triage, classification and prioritization.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and interpret exploitation techniques.
• Team‑oriented mindset with experience collaborating on SIEM/XDR tuning.
• Intermediate technical English communication skills.
