Technical Training Instructor (AI)

About the role

Andela is seeking experienced technical instructors to lead practical AI‑focused learning experiences for mid‑level and senior engineers. The role involves delivering in‑person workshops in Medellín (Spanish) and occasional virtual sessions, helping engineers adopt AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate interactive workshops, demos, hands‑on exercises and project clinics for engineering teams adopting AI‑assisted development.
• Guide learners through environment setup, prompting, context management and agentic workflows using Claude Code and related tools.
• Coach engineers as they debug codebases, review AI‑generated output, improve maintainability and apply new approaches to real engineering problems.
• Adapt learning materials, answer live questions and support baseline and exit assessments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on technical experience with strong depth in Fullstack, Backend, DevOps or Cloud engineering.
• Practical experience with AI‑assisted coding tools and agentic engineering workflows (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to teach, train, coach or mentor engineers through workshops, technical talks or pair programming.
• Strong communication skills in Spanish for delivery and English for materials and collaboration.
