VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer – Remote

About the role

ITTConnect is looking for a senior VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Engineer to design, deploy and support modern VMware infrastructure for a US‑based client. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in LATAM while collaborating in English with global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and manage VCF, including management and workload domains.
• Implement and optimise vSphere, vSAN, NSX‑T, HCX and SRM components.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage and network virtualization issues.
• Perform capacity planning, health checks and risk assessments.
• Create documentation, operational hand‑off material and support DR architecture testing.
• Provide knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of IT experience, with a strong focus on VMware technologies.
• Fluent English – all interviews and communications are in English.
• Previous consulting or client‑facing experience.
• Experience migrating VCF 5 to VCF 9 or large‑scale VMware deployments is highly preferred.

Required skills

• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) – expert level.
• vSphere, vSAN, NSX‑T, HCX, SRM.
• HCI platforms such as Dell VxRail.
• Automation tools: PowerCLI, Ansible, Terraform.
• Exposure to public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid integrations.
• Backup/storage solutions: PowerStore, Veeam.
• VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, VCIX) are a plus.
