Accountant – On-site

About the role

Monks is seeking an on‑site Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, support timely month‑end and year‑end closes, and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS. You will work in a fast‑growing, innovation‑driven environment, partnering with internal teams and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Record, classify, and reconcile transactions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries.
• Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for banks, vendors, customers, and general‑ledger accounts.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports under GAAP/IFRS.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, including accruals and adjustments.
• Provide accurate data and variance analysis for budgeting and forecasting.
• Partner with external auditors, preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Monitor internal controls and enforce finance policies and procedures.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities to increase accounting efficiency.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
