Accountant (US GAAP) – Remote (Colombia)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant with strong US GAAP expertise to join our fully remote team based in Colombia. You will work closely with US‑based stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full‑cycle general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities in strict compliance with US GAAP.
• Prepare timely financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure proper expense coding and revenue recognition.
• Support external and internal audits by providing schedules, documentation, and responding to inquiries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with US‑based or multinational companies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher (C1 preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with leading ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
