Accounts Payable Team Leader – Finance

About the role

Join Kuehne+Nagel’s Finance team as an Accounts Payable Team Leader. You will oversee a dedicated AP team, ensure timely payment execution, and drive continuous improvements across the AP process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the assigned Accounts Payable team, supporting day‑to‑day operations, resolving issues, and contributing to onboarding and development of team members.
• Estimate and monitor cash outflows, coordinate payment schedules with Treasury, and ensure suppliers are correctly included in payment plans.
• Reconcile supplier accounts, follow up on outstanding and aged items, and prevent service or credit disruptions caused by overdue accounts.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with internal policies and audit standards.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, support business units across multiple countries, and participate in critical meetings to resolve problems.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related financial processes, including exposure to accounting and treasury activities.
• Proven experience leading teams, coordinating priorities, and handling critical situations.
• Intermediate to high English proficiency (B2+) with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a Shared Services Center or Knowledge Center is desirable.
