After Hours Dispatcher

About the role

We are seeking an After Hours Dispatcher to join our fast‑paced Customer Service team. In this role you will act as the primary point of contact for customers outside regular business hours, ensuring their shipments are tracked, documented, and delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with customers via phone, email or fax, answering queries promptly and professionally.
• Track and trace a high volume of orders, entering and updating order information across multiple systems.
• Maintain daily delivery schedules and ensure all required documentation is submitted to the head office accurately and on time.
• Handle client complaints, provide solutions within set time limits, and follow up to confirm resolution.
• Confirm pickup and delivery appointments for drivers and relay specific freight requirements.
• Research and resolve transactional issues to keep reporting reconciled.
• Foster cooperative relationships with internal teams and drivers.

Required profile

• 2+ years of sales or account management experience in transportation or logistics (preferred).
• Recent college or university degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
• Previous experience in an analyst or pricing role is an asset.
• Ability to understand business processes, use technology to devise solutions, and work independently or within a team.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, with excellent customer‑relation abilities.
