AI Inference Engineer QVAC (100% remote)

About the role

You will own the inference backbone behind QVAC's local AI stack, building the C++ systems layer that makes machine‑learning models run fast, reliably, and predictably on real user hardware. The position focuses on runtime quality, covering startup behavior, memory pressure, throughput/latency balance, and long‑session stability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the C++ inference engine that powers on‑device AI experiences.
• Optimize runtime performance, including startup time, memory usage, and latency.
• Define core abstractions to enable new inference features without sacrificing performance or maintainability.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to integrate AI models into production.
• Ensure long‑session stability and reliability of the inference stack.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a passion for low‑level system engineering.
• Experience delivering high‑performance, production‑grade software.
• Ability to take clear technical ownership and work independently in a remote environment.
