Android Software Engineer (Kotlin & Jetpack Compose)

About the role

EPAM is looking for a talented Android Software Engineer to join its mobile engineering team. You will build, optimise and maintain native Android applications using a modern Kotlin‑based tech stack, collaborating with product managers, UX/UI designers and backend engineers to deliver high‑performing, reliable mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance native Android apps with Kotlin.
• Implement responsive, intuitive UI adhering to Material Design guidelines.
• Integrate with backend micro‑services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Create unit and UI tests to ensure stability.
• Profile and optimise app performance for speed, battery and memory usage.
• Assist in preparing and publishing updates to the Google Play Store.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in native Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and deep knowledge of the Android SDK.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
