Associate – Litigation (Insurance)

About the role

Kennedys is looking for an Associate to join its insurance litigation team in Bogotá. The successful candidate will work on a variety of complex disputes for local and international insurers and reinsurers, contributing to the firm’s reputation for high‑quality legal services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage arbitration, fiscal liability proceedings, litigation, coverage disputes, claim negotiations and policy drafting.
• Handle all phases of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and managing appeals.
• Assist on large, cross‑border cases within a global environment.
• Participate in arbitration and negotiation proceedings on behalf of clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in insurance litigation.
• Proven ability to work on large, international cases.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Excellent time‑management, organisational and research abilities.
• Experience in client contact and participation in business‑development events.
