Basque Language Specialist – AI Trainer

About the role

We are seeking a Basque language specialist to help train large‑scale AI models. You will work remotely, providing high‑quality linguistic feedback that will improve how AI understands and generates Basque text.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with language models on a variety of Basque linguistic scenarios.
• Identify and document model errors related to grammar, morphology, syntax, phonology, and pragmatics.
• Capture reproducible error traces and suggest refinements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
• Report on dialectal variations, formal vs. informal speech, and writing‑system nuances.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Basque language, linguistics, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Basque grammar, verb conjugation, noun declension, and ergativity.
• Experience with academic publishing, teaching, or linguistic research projects.
• Strong metacognitive communication skills – you must clearly show your reasoning.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Basque linguistic structures.
• Familiarity with AI language‑model evaluation and prompt engineering concepts.
