BIM Coordinator - Digital (Data Centers)

About the role

AECOM is looking for a BIM Coordinator focused on data centers, based in Medellin. The role covers BIM implementation, coordination, information management and digital delivery on complex international projects, with collaboration across AECOM's global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the BIM implementation strategy on complex international projects
• Administer the Common Data Environment (CDE), manage permissions and set up models in Autodesk Forma and ProjectWise
• Support multi-discipline coordination, create federated models, run clash detection and lead BIM coordination meetings, using ACC, BIM360, Navisworks or Revizto
• Coordinate smart object metadata and classification codes with asset information databases
• Provide advanced guidance on 3D modelling and data management, overseeing teams with Bentley Suite (OpenBuildings, MicroStation) or Autodesk Suite (Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD)
• Integrate point clouds into the federated model and run the Scan-to-BIM workflow
• Produce 4D construction simulations with Navisworks and/or Synchro
• Create and maintain smart object libraries and templates, and maintain the Content Catalogue/UNIFI repository
• Act as an ambassador for BIM and information management standards across regions

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Design Technology or Construction Technology, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• 2+ years of industry experience in BIM coordination and digital delivery, with a portfolio of building projects
• Experience with multi-discipline coordination, clash detection and issue management
• Experience with the ISO 19650 framework and Common Data Environments such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bentley ProjectWise
• Fluent English (oral and written, B2); relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available

Required skills

• Advanced use of Autodesk Navisworks, Revizto and ACC/Forma Model Coordination
• Resolving model issues in BIM authoring software
• ISO 19650 documentation and BIM coordination
• Preferred: Dynamo, data center experience, and international project experience in Australia, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, the Middle East or Asia
