Bookkeeper (US GAAP)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our US‑based clients. The role involves maintaining accurate ledgers, reconciling statements, and preparing regular financial reports in accordance with US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger for multiple client accounts.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Enter costs, expenses, and cost of goods sold with correct coding.
• Prepare income statements and balance sheets on a regular basis.
• Provide accounting support to internal stakeholders and answer queries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and tax standards.
• Stay current with accounting and tax standards through professional development.
• Collaborate with team members to improve bookkeeping processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
• 3+ years of experience in US bookkeeping.
• Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
