Business Development Executive – Logistics

About the role

World Transportation Services is seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to join its growing team in Barranquilla. The role is fully remote and focuses on expanding the company’s client base across the United States, Canada and Mexico within the third‑party logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Make daily outbound calls to prospect new customers and secure logistics contracts.
• Collaborate with operations, customer service and accounting teams to guarantee smooth service delivery and manage accounts receivable.
• Maintain and grow existing accounts, fostering long‑term partnerships.
• Participate in weekly virtual meetings with clients to review performance and strengthen relationships.

Required profile

• Fluent English (B2‑C1 level) and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in new‑business development and account management, preferably in sales.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and communication abilities.
• Previous experience in logistics or transportation is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM platform.
