Cloud Architect – AWS & VMware Migration

About the role

EPAM is looking for a Cloud Architect to design and validate cloud architectures for VMware workload migration projects to AWS. You will work with multinational teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the AWS Well‑Architected Framework.

Key responsibilities

• Design cloud architectures for application and infrastructure migration to AWS.
• Define Landing Zone, hybrid connectivity, and Disaster Recovery architectures.
• Develop and validate technical designs for compute, network, storage, databases, and containers.
• Create Infrastructure as Code components using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Establish technical standards and best practices for automation.
• Review and validate designs produced by engineering teams.
• Provide technical support throughout migration phases.
• Design modernization strategies for applications, containers, and databases.
• Participate in technical reviews, troubleshoot complex incidents, and document solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
• More than 7 years of experience in infrastructure, solutions architecture, or cloud platforms.
• At least 3 years designing solutions on Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with VMware to AWS migration projects.
• Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher).
