Cloud Azure Security Engineer

About the role

Monks Technology Services is seeking a Cloud Azure Security Engineer to protect and strengthen Azure environments for its global clientele. You will design, implement, and maintain security solutions across Azure infrastructure, applications, and data while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Assess Azure environments for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls and protective measures.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable security controls.
• Conduct regular security audits, reviews, and assessments.
• Provide guidance on security best practices and remediation strategies.
• Support Azure‑native security services such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Firewall, and Azure AD.
• Automate security processes using Terraform, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI.
• Monitor emerging threats and incorporate findings into security practices.
• Participate in incident response and assist in investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud security engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Azure security services and regulatory compliance.
