Commercial Transactional Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Transactional Lawyer to join our global team on a remote basis. Based in Colombia, you will provide strategic legal support for complex commercial operations, ensuring contracts and corporate transactions align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, service, licensing, distribution, partnership, NDA, and joint‑venture contracts.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial risks, contractual obligations, and compliance under Australian law.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align agreements with operational goals.
• Support corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations through legal due diligence and documentation.
• Analyze business strategies from a legal perspective and deliver practical recommendations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of commercial legislation and contract law developments.
• Independently manage legal matters while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Translate complex legal concepts into clear advice for non‑legal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transactions, corporate law, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Australian contract law, commercial regulations, and business practices.
• Proven ability to draft, review, negotiate, and advise on diverse commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration with international teams.
