Content Tagging Specialist (Remote, Colombia)

About the role

A global eCommerce company with offices in Canada, the United States and Europe is looking for a Content Tagging Specialist in Colombia. The role ensures accurate and consistent content classification across digital platforms by reviewing digital assets and assigning tags, categories, keywords and metadata according to established guidelines, improving content discoverability and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Review and classify digital content, including videos, audio and listings, by assigning relevant tags, categories, keywords and metadata.
• Follow taxonomies, tagging guidelines and internal procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Check existing tags and metadata for errors, inconsistencies, duplicates or missing information.
• Perform quality checks on tagged content and escalate unclear or complex cases to supervisors or quality assurance teams.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain and improve tagging standards and classification processes.
• Meet productivity and accuracy targets while keeping work quality high.
• Maintain organized and accurate content records in line with internal procedures.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role such as content tagging, content classification, data annotation or metadata management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay accurate on large volumes of repetitive work.
• Good reading comprehension and critical thinking, and ability to understand the context of digital content.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, including evenings, overnight hours, weekends and holidays.
• English at C1 (advanced) level is mandatory.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with content management systems, spreadsheets or similar digital tools.
