Control Center Specialist II

About the role

The Control Center Specialist II supports the Customer Service Department by managing shipment orders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing continuous support to clients worldwide. This role combines email correspondence, order processing, and coordination with global teams to deliver reliable logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Professionally answer customer service emails and create new shipment orders for domestic and international routes.
• Validate orders received via the customer portal, ensuring accuracy of information and documentation.
• Advise customers on import regulations, customs procedures, duties, taxes, and required documentation.
• Provide standard quotes, plan domestic routings, and route shipments on the next reliable flights.
• Enter clear notes and instructions into job files and manage system visibility reports.
• Liaise with World Courier offices and other departments to find solutions and meet customer needs.
• Analyze temperature data, monitor shipments during transport, and react to deviations.
• Communicate regularly with national and international stations, providing status updates and milestone notifications.
• Maintain compliance with all policies, safety rules, and regulations, and work flexible schedules including overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or a related field (preferred).
• 2‑3 years of experience in logistics, operations management, or a similar role.

• Excellent customer service and client‑relation skills.
• Ability to use computers and software to manage shipping orders and communications.
• Solid understanding of supply‑chain processes and common obstacles.
