COO - Operations and Administrative Manager

About the role

The company, a fast‑growing importer of premium fresh herbs and specialty produce, is looking for a hands‑on Chief Operating Officer to drive operational excellence across Colombia and the United States. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will act as the operational integrator, overseeing supply chain, logistics, customer service, inventory, procurement, finance and support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end supply‑chain and logistics operations to achieve 95‑98% order‑fulfillment accuracy.
• Reduce claims and operational errors to less than 1% annually.
• Ensure on‑time delivery and rapid response to customer issues.
• Protect gross margin through waste reduction, cost control and alignment with commercial strategy.
• Drive operational efficiency, working‑capital management and inventory accuracy.
• Implement and maintain KPI dashboards, SOPs and accountability systems.
• Manage and develop cross‑functional teams, ensuring achievement of performance targets.

Required profile

• Process‑oriented, execution‑driven leader with senior‑level experience in operations, logistics or supply‑chain management.
• High availability and ability to travel regularly between Bogotá and Miami.
• Bilingual English‑Spanish and holder of a current U.S. work visa.
• Proven track record of building scalable systems and improving operational reliability.
