Data Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the Role

Join the Front Office Technology & Innovation team at Advent as a Data Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our global investment platform. You will work at the intersection of finance and cutting-edge technology, building the data foundations that drive advanced financial analysis and AI-driven innovation.

Main Missions

• Design, implement, and optimize scalable ELT pipelines to ensure seamless data flow.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data infrastructure and engineering tooling.
• Collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to design efficient data models.
• Support and promote data engineering best practices across the organization.
• Enable high-impact use cases, including financial analytics and Artificial Intelligence, through robust data management.

Profile Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a data engineering role.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage complex workflows.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical requirements and business needs.
• Professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL (including window functions).
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Snowflake and PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in orchestration and ETL tools: Apache Airflow and Azure Data Factory.
• Solid understanding of REST API querying and version control using Git.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
