Data Engineer Specialist (ETL)

About the role

The Data Engineer Specialist will support the IB Technology & Transformation team for the Caribbean region, ensuring ETL processes reliably ingest data into the Enterprise Data Lake and generate regulatory reports. The role involves new development, maintenance of existing pipelines, and incident resolution while complying with internal policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain IBM DataStage ETL processes to ensure optimal performance and data quality.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of ETL projects, from requirements analysis to post‑implementation support.
• Perform dimensional data modeling and build scalable data‑warehouse solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex ETL, database, and data‑quality issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive process optimization for increased operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or ETL developer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with IBM DataStage and SQL.
• Proficiency in English (B2+ level) and ability to work in an agile team.
