Data Protection Officer – Compliance & Privacy

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer to lead the development and implementation of data protection and privacy strategies for Revolut’s operations in Colombia. The DPO will work closely with global compliance teams to ensure that local practices align with group policies and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business units on Colombian data privacy regulations and translate them into actionable requirements.
• Liaise with the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC), Superintendence of Financial Services (SFC) and other regulators on inspections and day‑to‑day queries.
• Identify, assess, monitor and report on compliance and regulatory risks.
• Develop and maintain the local compliance management framework, including policies, training, monitoring and reporting processes.
• Conduct scheduled monitoring, follow‑up on findings and continuously optimise the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
• Collaborate with global DPOs and Compliance Managers to ensure alignment of risk‑management frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in regulatory compliance within a financial institution, fintech, bank or consultancy, focusing on data privacy.
• Deep knowledge of Colombian data protection and financial regulations, including interaction with SIC and SFC.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills for regulatory gap analysis and risk assessment.
