Desarrollador de back‑end Midlevel

About the role

Kanguro Insurance is looking for a Midlevel Backend Developer to help build and maintain digital insurance products such as Pet Insurance and Renters Insurance. You will work closely with product, operations, and data teams to deliver scalable internal tools and customer‑facing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Deeply understand Kanguro’s evolving insurance products and translate them into impactful backend solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and automate internal tools and workflows.
• Leverage AI‑powered development tools, including Claude Code, for in‑editor suggestions, feature implementation, and assisted code reviews.
• Propose and implement improvements to technology and data team processes, covering code reviews, vulnerability scanning, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and evolve a hybrid infrastructure of Linux and Microsoft Azure servers.

Required profile

• Highly organized with a passion for operations and the insurance industry.
• Mid‑level experience in backend development, comfortable working in fast‑moving, digital environments.

What we offer

• Salary of COP 9,000,000 per month
