Design Systems Designer (Remote LATAM)

About the role

Blacksmith Agency is looking for a senior Design Systems Designer to create and maintain robust design‑system architectures for multiple client brands. You will translate brand guidelines and reference sites into reusable token libraries, component sets, and mode configurations that can be consumed directly by development pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming that can be read predictably by automated pipelines.
• Ship core component libraries that function consistently across entire sites, not just isolated pages.
• Document systems thoroughly so developers or automated tools can implement them without clarification.
• Manage several client brands simultaneously, ensuring each retains a distinct visual identity while sharing a common structural rigor.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of web‑design experience with a portfolio that showcases real design‑system work.
• Demonstrated ability to create architecture‑level design assets, not just tidy file structures.
• Strong English communication skills and availability to overlap with US business hours.

Required skills

• Figma variables
• Component properties
• Auto layout
