DevOps Engineer - Data Platform

About the role

DEUNA, a startup that consolidates payment solutions into a single platform, is looking for a DevOps Engineer focused on its data platform. The role strengthens cloud infrastructure, automation, reliability and observability while supporting the growing needs of the Data Engineering teams. It works closely with DevOps/SRE and Data Engineering to build scalable, secure and cost-efficient AWS infrastructure, and ensures data platforms such as Snowflake and MongoDB Atlas run reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Design, manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, networking, security and services for DevOps and Data Engineering workloads
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and AWS CDK, and CI/CD pipelines
• Manage observability, monitoring, logging and alerting with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo and OpenTelemetry
• Support and optimize Snowflake and MongoDB Atlas, including connectivity, performance, security, availability and cost
• Maintain AWS networking (VPC, PrivateLink, DNS) and secure cross-account connectivity
• Improve reliability, scalability and disaster recovery through automation, multi-region architecture, backups and failover testing
• Apply DevSecOps practices, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management and PCI DSS controls
• Take part in operations, troubleshooting, incident response and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, DevOps/SRE and Security teams, and drive cloud cost optimization

Required profile

• 3-6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, SRE or Platform Engineering, ideally supporting production data platforms
• Strong AWS infrastructure and networking experience (VPC, PrivateLink, Route 53, IAM, cross-account connectivity, serverless)
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and MongoDB Atlas, including architecture, access management, backups and performance monitoring
• Understanding of cloud security, high availability, disaster recovery and operational reliability
• Proactive, automation-first mindset with strong troubleshooting and communication skills
