DevOps Engineer (GCP Platform)

About the role

EPAM is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform. You will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure while collaborating with multinational engineering, data, and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for environment provisioning.
• Automate configuration management with Ansible.
• Build, optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
• Manage GCP services, including IAM roles, networking, and access controls.
• Administer BigQuery environments, focusing on performance, cost optimization and data governance.
• Oversee Google Cloud Storage buckets, applying lifecycle policies and security best practices.
• Deploy and operate data processing workloads on GCP Dataproc (Spark jobs).
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and drive reliability improvements.
• Document best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps processes.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or related roles.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently under general direction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
