Digital Specialist – Environmental Data & Reporting Automation

About the role

The Digital Specialist will join AECOM’s Environment Digital Transformation team, supporting environmental project delivery across the Americas. This role blends environmental data management expertise with digital workflow automation, reporting, and dashboard development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support EQuIS environmental data systems, including custom reports and data‑quality workflows.
• Extract, transform, and load environmental data for reporting, ensuring fitness for use across project teams.
• Integrate EQuIS outputs into Power BI dashboards and paginated reports, creating reliable data pipelines.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards with data modelling, DAX formulas, and reporting workflow configuration.
• Design and deploy workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate and advanced Excel macros.
• Create custom automation solutions with Python, C# or similar languages for data management and integration.
• Identify digitisation opportunities and implement scalable, repeatable solutions.
• Support rollout, onboarding, training material development, and hyper‑care for digital tools across the Environment business line.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in environmental consulting or environmental data systems.
• Hands‑on experience with EQuIS, Power BI (including DAX and Paginated Reports), and SQL Server/T‑SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Automate and advanced Excel (VBA, PowerQuery).
• Python scripting experience and custom development using Python or C#.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
