Embedded Systems Engineer (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev is hiring an Embedded Systems Engineer to work remotely. You will build the foundational software that powers next-generation devices in the IoT, automotive and industrial sectors, working at the intersection of hardware and software so that firmware is highly optimized, reliable and able to run under real-time constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop robust firmware and embedded software for a variety of hardware platforms.
• Implement and tune real-time operating systems to ensure system stability.
• Develop and maintain efficient device drivers for communication between software and hardware.
• Conduct low-level debugging and performance optimization using hardware abstraction layers and system-level tools.
• Program microcontrollers and manage embedded Linux environments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Embedded Systems, Firmware Development or Systems Programming.
• Proven expertise building firmware and embedded software for IoT, automotive or industrial devices.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming.
• Embedded Linux or RTOS such as FreeRTOS and Zephyr.
• Microcontroller programming, device drivers and low-level debugging.
