Entry-Level Field Technical Consultant

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring an Entry-Level Field Technical Consultant in Bogota. The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. It covers on-site technical support for customers, including pre-sales, post-sales and service delivery support, installation and configuration, and solving business systems, networking and application problems for standard servers and complex clustered environments.

Key responsibilities

• Apply growing technical knowledge to areas such as server administration, technical security management or performance management, or to a customer group with limited risk and complexity.
• Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for customers.
• Resolve routine in-scope technical incidents independently and work with team members on more complex incidents.
• Apply company solutions to meet moderately complex customer needs within your technical responsibility.
• Participate in customer expectation management as part of the escalation process.
• Build relationships with management in assigned accounts and set customer expectations within defined parameters.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in fields such as system engineering, electronic engineering or mechatronics.
• 1 to 3 years of working experience in related fields is desired.
• Conceptual understanding of IT environments.
• English at B2 level.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of company products and services.
• Effective communication with technical staff and first-level management, with active listening and the ability to adapt messages to the audience.
• Proactive, reactive and creative problem-solving based on clearly defined procedures.
