Finance and Operations Officer

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a Finance and Operations Officer to join its STRIDES project team in Bogotá, Colombia. The role supports the organization’s financial health by providing comprehensive accounting, budgeting, and operational guidance across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate financial and accounting operations, ensuring accurate monitoring and reporting.
• Conduct financial analyses, budget forecasts, and regulatory filings in compliance with GAAP and donor requirements.
• Prepare and submit financial reports to funding agencies, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
• Provide high‑level analytical expertise and business modeling support for senior management and field operations.
• Analyze performance trends, model complex business decisions, and present results to stakeholders.
• Interpret discrepancies in financial data and implement technology solutions to streamline processes.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with industry partners, consultants, and internal staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial management and accounting within a nonprofit or development context.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, donor compliance, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate financial reports and presentations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
