Finance Associate – Accounts Receivable (3‑month contract)

About the role

DealMaker is seeking a Finance Associate to manage accounts receivable collections and cash application on a three‑month contract. You will be the primary contact for customer payment discussions, keep the AR process clean, and help build scalable systems as the function automates.

Key responsibilities

• Run collections on aged AR, including outreach, payment plan negotiation and escalation of delinquent accounts.
• Manage AR reminder workflows and maintain organized records of customer communications in HubSpot.
• Apply incoming cash to open invoices, reconcile against Stripe activity, and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Support internal AR reporting by keeping aging reports current and assisting with invoice dispute resolution.
• Monitor automated collections and cash‑application workflows, handle exception queues and ensure accuracy across the AR process.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections or cash application, preferably in a high‑volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a bias toward building systematic solutions.
• Ability to prioritize multiple high‑frequency workflows in a fast‑paced setting.
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers and conducting professional collections conversations.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Stripe and its invoice/payment data flow.
• Experience with HubSpot for contact and deal record management.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups and handling large datasets.
