Financial Account Officer – Medellin

About the role

Join an international, fast‑growing consulting firm as a Financial Account Officer based in Medellin. You will be responsible for accurate billing, invoice management and payment follow‑up while collaborating with multiple internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue client invoices accurately and promptly.
• Verify billing data against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with business partners.
• Monitor payment deadlines and follow up with clients to ensure timely collections.
• Reconcile billing statements and accounts to guarantee completeness.
• Collaborate with Recovery, Accounts and Business Partners to maintain accurate billing cycles.
• Maintain deep knowledge of company services to ensure correct invoicing.
• Identify and propose process improvements for more efficient billing procedures.
• Uphold strict confidentiality of financial and customer information.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in billing or financial account management.
• Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional communication skills for handling client inquiries.

Required skills

• Proficiency with billing software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using generative AI tools.
