Financial Analyst – Strategic FP&A & Systems Lead

About the role

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems‑minded Financial Analyst to act as the financial architect for a growing private‑club organization. This is a strategic, high‑visibility position reporting directly to executive leadership and the board, focused on building financial clarity, modernizing reporting systems, and enabling data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a structured monthly reporting package, including full financial statements and department‑level budget‑vs‑actual analysis.
• Partner with department heads to extract operational data, standardize reporting workflows, and develop scenario models for pricing, membership, and program decisions.
• Manage multi‑year capital expenditure budgets, oversee project cash‑flow tracking, and maintain a rolling 13‑week cash‑flow forecast.
• Maintain audit‑ready financial records, coordinate tax compliance, and monitor loan covenant and lender reporting requirements.
• Serve as internal systems lead for Jonas Club Software, overseeing accounting modules, member billing, fixed‑asset schedules, and financial reporting.
• Identify and automate manual reconciliation processes using Jonas reporting tools and advanced Excel workflows.
• Lead annual insurance renewal, evaluate coverage options, and analyze premium impacts on the operating budget.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in strategic finance or FP&A, preferably in recurring‑revenue environments such as membership models, subscriptions, or SaaS.
• Proven ability to build financial infrastructure from the ground up and translate messy operational data into board‑ready insights.
• Strong communication skills for direct interaction with executives and board members.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex financial modeling and multi‑tab reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with Jonas Club Software (accounting, A/P, A/R, member billing).
• Financial modeling and scenario analysis.
