Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to lead the financial operations, reporting and compliance for Sporting Jax, a professional soccer organization based in Jacksonville. The role will be based in Bogotá, Colombia and will work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
• Partner with leadership to deliver financial analysis and recommendations.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or controlling roles.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Analytical thinking and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Financial reporting and compliance.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Financial analysis.
