Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a growing container logistics company. The role will oversee reporting, budgeting, cash‑flow management and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Analyze financial performance and advise management on profitability and cost optimisation.
• Coordinate audits and work with external accountants and financial institutions.
• Support executive leadership with financial planning and strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, trucking or container operations is preferred.
• CPA designation is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
• Budgeting and forecasting expertise.
