Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Controller to manage the day‑to‑day accounting operations of a nonprofit organization. The role is fully remote, serving teams in the Philippines and Latin America, and requires collaboration with leadership and the Board to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and payroll oversight.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, budget‑to‑actual reports and financial analyses for leadership and Board review.
• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships and enforce financial controls and compliance procedures.
• Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors, accountants and regulatory agencies.
• Support financial planning, process improvements and documentation of accounting policies.
• Assist the client with additional tasks aligned with business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting, finance or controllership experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare or behavioral health environments is highly preferred.
• Ability to work US time zones (graveyard shift for Philippines) and start within two weeks of offer.
