Financial Shared Services Manager

About the role

The Financial Shared Services Manager will lead IPA’s newly established Shared Services Center in Bogotá, overseeing finance operations for all IPA entities worldwide. The role involves building the centre from the ground up, designing processes and serving as the primary liaison between country office finance teams and headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations covering accounts payable, journal entry processing, intercompany transactions and bank/balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Establish and monitor service‑level agreements with country offices and headquarters, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Resolve finance queries, support month‑end close activities and provide audit assistance.
• Identify automation and process‑improvement opportunities and drive implementation with IT and Global Finance.
• Develop performance dashboards, KPIs and regular reporting for senior finance leadership.
• Recruit, onboard and supervise a team of up to three Shared Services staff, set objectives and conduct performance reviews.
• Design and deliver training on accounting tasks, reconciliation procedures and NetSuite operations.
• Maintain compliance with IPA policies, donor requirements and accounting standards, and ensure clear segregation of duties.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build and lead a finance shared services function from inception.
• Experience recruiting, onboarding and managing a small finance team.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor service levels, resolve discrepancies and support audits.
• Excellent communication to act as the main liaison between country offices and headquarters.
