General Manager – Hospitality Experience

About the role

Socialtel is seeking an energetic, commercially‑driven General Manager to lead its flagship property in Medellín, Colombia. The role combines operational leadership with a focus on guest experience, revenue growth and team development in a lifestyle‑hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security and Guest Experience.
• Maintain Socialtel brand standards and ensure compliance with local regulations, health, safety and licensing.
• Drive occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and total revenue; develop local sales initiatives, partnerships and new revenue streams such as coworking, events and F&B.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, achieve GOP and EBITDA targets, control expenses and monitor payroll and labor productivity.
• Recruit, coach and develop department leaders, conduct performance reviews and foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction scores, resolve escalated concerns and continuously improve the guest journey.
• Represent Socialtel within the local hospitality community, build partnerships with tourism organisations, universities and local businesses, and support community initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a General Manager in hospitality.
• Proven experience managing lifestyle hotels, hostels, resorts or mixed‑use hospitality properties.
• Hands‑on, commercially driven leadership with a strong focus on financial performance and guest experience.
• Ability to lead high‑performing teams and engage with guests and stakeholders.
