GMP Technician

About the role

The GMP Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and compliant environment within assigned GMP areas. The role works closely with team members, follows written and verbal instructions, and ensures all safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures, and intervene when risky behavior is observed.
• Perform repetitive cleaning and sanitization tasks to keep the GMP area compliant.
• Maintain a clean work area, use proper personal protective equipment, and present a professional appearance.
• Support the shift lead by completing punch‑list items, work orders, and shutdown cleaning.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers.
• Complete daily FN logs, report maintenance issues, and follow SOPs for gowning and equipment use.
• Act as a fill‑in for other staff during shortages and assist with area‑specific training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Completed safety and task‑training certifications; forklift certification may be required.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, cleaning compounds, and equipment upkeep.
• Proficiency in gowning procedures for controlled environments.
• Understanding of chemical safety and other safety certifications.
