Head of Collections – Medellín (Fintech)

About the role

Aventus Group, an international fintech operating in 18 countries, is expanding its presence in Latin America. We are looking for a Head of Collections to build and lead the collections function in Colombia, working night shifts starting at 3:00 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and manage a high‑performing collections team in Colombia.
• Define and execute a comprehensive collections strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design KPIs, performance tracking systems and monitor overdue portfolios to optimize recovery.
• Collaborate with IT to implement automation tools and improve process efficiency.
• Manage external vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Required profile

• Solid experience in collections or debt recovery within consumer finance or PDL.
• Proven leadership experience managing collections teams.
• Strong understanding of DPD, roll rates and recovery metrics.
• Experience across soft, hard and legal collections.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on KPI‑driven results.
• Advanced English (spoken and written) – mandatory.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
