Head of Fast Charging – LATAM

About the role

The Head of Fast Charging leads the development and commercial performance of BYD's Flash Charging business across Latin America, defining regional strategy and investment priorities while adapting the operating model to each market.

Key responsibilities

• Define market priorities, network coverage and rollout plans based on EV adoption, customer needs, competition and project economics.
• Own the regional business plan, set revenue and cost targets, develop pricing principles and prepare investment proposals.
• Lead regional agreements and support country teams in negotiations with dealers, retailers, property owners, energy companies and charging partners.
• Set country targets, review site pipelines, budgets and construction progress, and hold teams accountable for opening and operating stations.
• Define operating models, procurement and contracting frameworks across real estate, engineering, construction, maintenance and digital services.
• Set regional priorities for charging equipment, energy storage, software and payments, aligning with global capabilities.
• Establish service standards, monitor availability, charging success, customer experience and operating costs, driving improvements.
• Develop country and regional capabilities, allocate resources, share best practices and represent the business with key partners and authorities.

Required profile

• At least 12 years of experience in energy, mobility or infrastructure, including 5+ years in EV charging.
• Proven track record developing charging businesses, negotiating partnerships and delivering commercial results.
• Experience operating in Latin America and coordinating local teams with global headquarters.
• Strong understanding of charging economics, network planning, grid connections and energy storage.
• Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; willing to travel regionally and internationally.
